A Forum Set Tutorial

Here's what we'll be making:

You will need PSP - I used X3, but any version should work fine

If you're going to do the glitter animation in the background you will need DSB Flux-Bright Noise

If not -no outside filters will be needed

Tube, Image and Font of choice

I used the wonderful art of Jennifer Janesko

You must buy a license in order to use her art from CILM

Ready?

Lets begin...

New Image, 600x250-Select all

On your image, use your rectangular selection tool to select out a colorful portion of your Image or Tube

Back to your tag- Paste INTO selection - Deselect

Adjust, Blur, Motion Blur

Repeat this a few times until you like it

Edge Effects- Enhance

Effects- Distortion Effects- Wave

Selection Tool-Ellipse-Draw out a circle bigger than your canvas-promote selection to layer

Deselect- Image Mirror- Mover tool to place as shown above

Drop Shadow- 5, 5, 50 and 5

Copy and paste your Tube to one side and send layer to the top

Same drop shadow on the Tube

Crop your tag and make a new layer-send to top

Fill with dark color from your Tube-Select all

Modify-Contract 1-DELETE

Hide the bottom layer- Merge Visible - Unhide the bottom layer

Time to add your Name and any copyright info and license #s necessary

If you're not gonna Animate it-merge visible and save as a JPG

Animation

Duplicate the bottom layer twice for a total of 3

On the bottom layer- DSB Flux-Bright Noise - Mix-15

Run the filter on each duplicate hitting the mix button once each time

Open Animation shop

Back in PSP, Hide the top two bright noise layers and Copy Merged

In Ani Shop-Paste as New Animation

Back in PSP-Hide the bottom layer and un-hide the middle one-Copy Merged

In Ani Shop-Paste after current frame

Back in PSP-Hide the middle layer and un-hide the top one-Copy Merged

In Ani Shop-Paste after current frame

View animation to make sure it looks good and save as a Gif

Before you add your tube on the left side-Edit-Copy Merged -Paste as new Image

Use the crop tool to crop out the part you want to use for the Avi

Add your 1px border like you did for the tag-merge visible

Add cr and license# and your initial and save as a JPG
