You will need PSP I used version X2, but I think it could be done in any version You will need a good working knowledge of PSP Xero-Fritillary Crescent Moon-Warm cloth Xero- Porcelain An image, a tube, a mask and two fonts I used WSL mask 286 here You may use my photo here If you need to credit it, it should be (C)Shirley Franklin www.shirleyswebworks.com It's not a great shot, but serves my purpose in making this tag I used the wonderful art of Cris De Lara, who's work may be purchased at MPT Please do not use w/o a proper license Ok, settle in with a cup of whatever you're drinking Let's go! New image 600x600, 72 dpi, white From your tube, use the dropper to choose a dark color for BG and light color for FG New layer-Fill with dark color-apply the mask-merge group
We need a fill for our text so, merge mask layer with white bg with your rectangular selection tool, draw out a square where the stripes are
Edit-Copy, Edit-Paste as new image-minimize it for later Edit-undo selection, Edit-undo merge down New layer- rectangular selection tool- draw out a narrow rectangle outside the mask (see completed tag for placement)
Fill with light color-Modify selection-Contract 9px-hit your delete key-This is your frame 1 layer Modify selection-expand 2 px New layer-Fill with dark color-Deselect-Move under frame 1 layer On this layer-Xero Fritillary-default settings Crescent moon warm cloth-change horizontal spacing to 25 Back to Frame 1 Layer-drop shadow 2,2,58,3 New layer-name it Frame 2 Selection tool-Circle-Draw out a circle (see completed tag for placement) Fill with dark color- Modify selection-Contract 9px-hit your delete key New Layer-Modify selection-expand 2 px New layer-Fill with light color-Drag this layer under the Frame 2 layer Back to Frame 2 Layer-drop shadow 2,2,58,3 So now you should have 6 layers Starting from the bottom: White background Mask layer Frame 1 background Frame 1 Frame 2 background Frame 2 Let's move on... Working on the Frame 2 background layer- Select all-selection float-selection defloat Open the moon photo-copy and paste as new layer Move it to where you want it- Change blend mode to overlay and drop the opacity a little-invert selection-delete-Invert selection Zero Fritilary-default-Edge effects-Enhance-Merge down- Copy and paste your tube - position where you like it-Invert selection Hit your delete key to get rid of excess outside of frame-Deselect Duplicate tube layer-(I learned this trick from Rich-aka Aremgy) On the bottom tube layer- Xero Porcelain-default Unsharp mask-default On the top tube layer change the blend mode to overlay-take down the opacity to where you like it Hide your background layer-Merge visible Now for some words, lol (Btw, did you notice that you built your own template?) New layer- elipse tool- set to circle-width 1-BG null Draw out a circle that goes just above the mask circle You know how to do text-on-a path right? Type out your words-put them where you want them-hide the circle layer and convert to raster Now resize it to where you want it- Add your copyright info- Now for your name- I used Edwardian Script ITC FG-your dark color-BG the swatch you made 100%-45 degrees Drop shadow 2,2,58,3 Delete white BG layer-Merge visible and save as a png file
