Ribbons - A Forum Set Tutorial

To create this Set you will need:

A Tube

I used art by Jose Cano

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Texture Noise

Ready?

Let's Begin!

Choose Light and Dark colors for your FG/BG

New Image - 600x250

Fill with your Light Color

Add Noise - Gaussian - 15 - Mono Checked

New Layer

Load my Selection (SWWRibbonsSel)

Fill the Wide stripes on the Left and the Thin stripe on the right with your Dark color

Then Fill the rest of them with your Light Color - Deselect

Magic Wand Tool

RGB - Add(Shift) - Feather and Tolerance 0

Click once inside each of your THICK stripes

Deselect

Magic Wand Tool

Click once inside both of your THIN stripes

Duplicate this Layer Twice for a total of Three

On the Bottom Layer

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Texture Noise

Do the same for the Next Two Layers

Hit the Random seed Button once each time

Deselect

On all Layers except the Bottom

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 50 and 12

Highlight the Top Layer

Copy and Paste your Tube as a New layer

Give it a Blurry Drop Shadow

New Layer - Bring to Top

Fill with Dark Color

Select All - Contract 3 - Delete

Expand 1 - Invert - Fill with Light Color - Deselect

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 50 and 12

Add your Name, CR info and License

ANIMATION

In PSP - Edit - Copy Merged

In Animation shop - Edit- Paste as new animation

Back in PSP

Hide the bottom layer and unhide the middle one

Edit - Copy merged

In Animation shop - Edit - Paste after current frame

Back in PSP

Hide the middle layer and unhide the top one

Edit-copy merged

In Animation shop - Edit- Paste after current frame

View animation- If you like it, save as a gif and you're done!
