Pattern, Too - A 3 Piece Set Tutorial

To create this Set you will need:

A Tube and a Close-up by the same Artist

AAA Frames - Foto Frame

Filter Factory D - Vertigo

Ready?

Let's Begin!

We'll start by creating a Seamless Tile

Open your Tube in PSP

Take your Rectangular Selection Tool

Drag out a Selection in a likely spot

You'll want to include an area with

Different colors or textures

I made my Selection like so:

Edit - Copy

New Image - 150x150

Select All - Edit - Paste into Selection - Deselect

Duplicate - Mirror and Flip

Change the Blend Mode to Screen or a different one you like better

Merge Visible

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tile

Filter Factory D - Vertigo

Set the Intensity to 129

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Shift+D to copy your Image

On the Copy

Adjust - Hue and Saturation - Colorize - Both Numbers 0

In your Materials Palette

Set the FG to your Colored Image

Angle 0 -Scale 100

Set the BG to your Desaturated Image

Angle 0 -Scale 100

New Image - 600x600

Fill with one of your Patterns

I started with the Desaturated one

Image - Resize

600x400

Lock unchecked - Resize checked

Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds

2 and 24 - Color white - Horizontal and Light boxes checked

Duplicate this Layer Twice for a total of Three

On each of these

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

29 - Mix checked

Hit the Mix Button once for each layer

New Layer

Make this Custom Selection

Fill with your Other Pattern

Deselect

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 60 and 20

Copy your Close-up and Paste as a New Layer

Position as desired - Change the Blend to one you like

Copy your Tube and Paste as a New Layer

Position as Desired

Give it a Blurry Drop Shadow

Crop your Tag

Before we go any further

Let's get what we need for Forum Tag and Avi

Shift+D to copy your Tag - Twice

On the first copy

Crop to 150x150

Add your Initial and CR info

Finish and Animate like we will for the Tag

This is your Avi

On the second copy

Set your Crop Tool to 600x250

Move to the top of your Tag

Hit the Green Check mark to apply

Add your Name, CR info and Lic#

Finish and Animate like we will for the Tag

This is your Forum Tag

Back to our Tag

On the Three BG layers and the Colored Layer

AAA Frames - Foto Frame

Change the Number to 10 and the Opacity to 50

Add your Name, CR info and License#

Animation

Fire up Animation Shop(AS)

In PSP - Copy Merged

In AS - Paste as a New Animation

Back in PSP

Hide the top BG Layer

Edit - Copy Merged

In AS - Paste as After Current Frame

Back in PSP

Hide the Middle BG Layer

Edit - Copy Merged

In AS - Paste as After Current Frame

Animate the Forum Tag and Avi the Same way
