To create this Set you will need:

A Tube and a Close-up

I used art by Barbara Jensen

Tubes and License available Here

 

Xero - Radiance

Xero - Greyscaler

Fantastic Machines - Paint Engine

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Texture Noise

 

A Pattern

I got mine from Morguefile

Here is the Page where I got the Pattern I used

 

***Tags will look different depending on the Pattern you use***

Look for something with a repeated shape

Open your Tubes and Pattern in PSP

 

Ready?

Let's Begin!

 

If you are lucky enough to find a Pattern that matches your Tube colors

Skip what comes next between these *** ***

 

*** On your Pattern Image, promote to Raster

Xero - Greyscaler - Default Settings

Colorize to match your Tube ***

 

New Image - 600x400

Select All

Activate your Pattern

Edit Copy

On your New Image - Paste into Selection

Deselect

Duplicate Layer

 

If your Pattern is Colored, then

Xero - Greyscaler - Default Settings on the BG Layer

 

If your Pattern is Greyscale, then

Colorize the Duplicate to match your Tube

 

Custom Selection

Make sure the Duplicate Layer is Activated

Delete - Deselect

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 100 and 10

 

Effects - Distortion Effects - Wave

 

Fantastic Machines - Paint Engine

 

Duplicate the BG Layer twice for a total of Three Layers

On each of these Layers

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Texture Noise

Hit the Random Seed Button once for each Layer

 

Activate the Top BG Layer

Copy your Close-Up and Paste as a new Layer

Xero - Radiance - Default Settings

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 100 and 20

Drag this Layer to just below the top Layer

Position so you can see it in the "Window" you made

Drop the Opacity a little

Crop your Tag to Merged Opaque

 

Copy your Tube and Paste as a New Layer

Send to Top

Drop Shadow - 20, 20, 80 and 100

Add your Name, CR Info and License #

 

New Layer

Fill with a Color from your Tube

Select All - Contract 2 - Delete - Deselect

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 100 and 5

Crop your Tag to Merged Opaque

 

Animation

Make sure all BG Layers are Visible

Edit - Copy Merged

In Animation Shop(AS) - Paste as a New Animation

Back in PSP

Hide the Top BG Layer

Edit - Copy Merged

In AS - Paste After Current Frame

Back in PSP

Hide the Middle BG Layer

Edit - Copy Merged

In AS - Paste After Current Frame

Edit - Select All

Animation - Frame Properties - Change the Number to 25

View Animation to make sure it's running right

Save as a GIF and you're done!

 

To make the Forum Style Tag

Use the same steps except start with a 600x250 Image

Use this Custom Selection

Finish and Animate the same way you did for the Big Tag

 

To Make the Avatar

Shift+D to copy your Forum Sized Tag

Delete the Border, Name, CR and Tube Layers

Resize it to 200px high

Crop Tool - 150x50

Move to where you want it

Hit the green arrow to apply

Add the Border

Add your Initial and CR info

Finish and Animate the same way you did for the Big Tag
