Wings - A 3-Piece Forum Set Tutorial

To create this Set you will need

A Tube

I used Art by Jennifer Janesko

Tubes and License Available from CDO

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Swirl

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

MuRa's Meister - Copies

Xero - Porcelain

My Selection HERE

Unzip into your Selections Folder

Ready?

Let's Begin!

New Image - 600x400

Choose Two colors from your Tube as your FG and BG colors

Make a FG/BG Linear Gradient

Angle 90 - Repeats 1

The lighter color should be in the center of your Gradient

Selections - Load from Disk - Choose SWWWingsSel

Fill with your Gradient

Deselect

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Swirl

Xero - Porcelain - Blue Channel 0

Drop Shadow - 0, 0, 100 and 3

Black or other Dark color

MuRa's Meister - Copies

Hit the Reset Button to revert to Default Settings

Choose the Cards Preset - Default Settings

Duplicate Layer

Highlight the bottom Layer

Image - Flip

Merge Visible

Duplicate Layer

Highlight the bottom Layer

Image - Flip and Mirror

Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light

New Layer - Send to Bottom

Fill with your Gradient

Duplicate this Layer twice for a total of Three

On each of these

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

21 - Mix checked

Hit the Mix Button once for each Layer

Highlight the Top Layer

Copy your Tube and Paste as a New Layer

Move into Position

Add a 1 pixel Border

Add your Name, CR Info and License#

Let's get what we need for Forum Tag and Avatar

Shift+D to copy your Tag Twice

On the first Copy

We'll make the Avatar

Remove Border, Art, CR and Name Layers

Image - Rotate Left

Image - Resize - All Layers and Lock Ratio Un-checked

Make the Height 250 the Width will follow

Highlight the Top Layer

Adjust - Sharp

Crop Tool set at 150x150

Move to where you want it and hit the green arrow to apply

Add your Initial and Border

Set this aside for Now

On the Second Copy

We'll Make the Forum Tag

Remove the Border

Selection Tool

Custom Selection

Top and Left - 0

Bottom - 250

Right - 600

Move the Elements of your Tag to where you want

Inside the Selection

Crop to Selection

Add the Border

Set this aside for Now

ANIMATION

In PSP - Edit - Copy Merged

In Animation shop - Edit- Paste as new animation

Back in PSP

Hide the Top BG Layer

Edit - Copy merged

In Animation shop - Edit - Paste after current frame

Back in PSP

Hide the middle BG layer

Edit-copy merged

In Animation shop - Edit- Paste after current frame

View animation- If you like it, save as a gif and you're done!

Repeat for the Forum Tag and Avatar
