Let's Begin!

Choose Two colors from your Tube

For the above example

I used Black for the FG and White for the BG

Make a FG/BG Gradient on the FG

Linear - Angle 45 - Repeats 3

On the BG - Make it my Pattern

Angle 0 - Scale 100

 

We're going to begin with the regular Tag

New Image - 100x400

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance - Twice

 

Image - Canvas Size

600x400 - Centered

Line Preset - Change the Number to 6

New Layer - Fill with my Pattern

Arrange - Send to Bottom

Highlight the Copies Layer

Copy your Close-up and Paste as a New Layer

Move Left

Copy your Tube and Paste as a New Layer

Position as Desired

 

Highlight the Copies Layer

Rectangular Selection Tool

Select an area down the middle of your Top Tube to the right side

Promote Selection To Layer

Deselect

Move your Close-up Layer between the Gradient Layer and 

Promoted Selections Layer

Merge Down

Crop your Tag

Xero - Illustrator

 

Highlight your Tube Layer

Drop Shadow - 10, 20, 100 and 100

New Layer - Fill with Dark Color

Select All - Contract 2 - Delete - Deselect

Add your Word Art, Name, CR info and License#

Save as a JPG

 

Now Let's get what we need for the Forum Tag and Avi

Shift+D to copy your Tag - Twice

 

On the First Copy

Delete the Border

Make this Custom Selection

Move the elements of the Tag to your liking

INSIDE the Selection

Image - Crop to Selection

Add the Border

Save as a JPG

This is your Forum Tag

 

On your Second Copy

Delete the Border

Set it to 150x150

Move to where you want it

If you are showing any of the Art Layers

Don't forget your CR info and License

Add the Border and your Name or Initial

Save as a JPG

This is your Avatar

 

You're Done!
