Tag or Trick - A Forum Set Tutorial

To create this Tag you will need:

A Tube and a Close-up

I used art by Ismael Rac

Tubes and license available

at his Store

PSP and Animation Shop

Both Available from Corel

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

My Element Here

Ready?

Let's Begin!

New Image - 600x250

Choose a light color for your FG

Choose a dark color for your BG

On the FG make a Sunburst Gradient

Link checked - Repeats 0

Fill your Tag with this gradient

Effects - Texture Effects - Weave

Use your FG/BG colors for your Weave and Gap colors

Copy your Close-up and paste as a New Layer

Place as desired

Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light and lower the opacity a little

Copy your Tube and paste as a New Layer

Give it a blurry drop shadow

Crop your Tag

Copy My Element and Paste as a new Layer

Duplicate this Layer twice for a total of three Layers

Arrange as shown in the Tag above

Merge the two outside Elements together

Select All - Float - Defloat - Add a Layer above this one and fill with a color from your Tube

Delete the original

Highlight the middle Element Layer

Select All - Float - Defloat - Add a Layer above this one and fill with a contrasting color

Delete the original

Give both of these Element Layers a drop shadow

0, 0, 100 and 6

Highlight the middle Element Layer

Duplicate twice for a total of three layers

On each of these Layers

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

68 - Mix - Hit the Mix button once for each Layer

Make the BG the same color you used for your Middle Element

Hide the FG color

Type out "Tag or"

Rotate and Pull out to fit and place as shown in the Tag

Duplicate and move to the other side as shown

Type out "Trick"

Rotate and Pull out to fit and place as shown in the Tag

Duplicate and move to the other side as shown

Merge all of these Text layers together

Drop shadow - 1, 1, 100 and 3

New Layer - Send to Top

Fill with Black

Select All - Contract 1 - Delete - Deselect

Add your Name, CR info and License # if necessary

AVATAR

Shift + D to copy your Tag

Minimize the original for now

On the copy, remove Art, CR, Name and Border Layers

This should leave you with the BG, outside Element Layer

and the three Middle Element Layers

Crop Tool - 150x150

Move to the area you want cropped and hit the little check mark

New Layer

Fill with Black

Select All - Contract 1 - Delete - Deselect

Add your Initial

Animate like we will for the Tag

Animation

Fire up Animation Shop

In PSP

Hide the top two Bright Noise Layers

Edit - Copy Merged

In Animation Shop

Edit - Paste as New Animation

Back in PSP

Hide the Bottom Noise Layer and Unhide the Middle one

Edit - Copy Merged

In Animation Shop

Edit - Paste after current Frame

Back in PSP

Hide the Middle Noise Layer and Unhide the Top one

Edit - Copy Merged

In Animation Shop

Edit - Paste after current Frame

View - Animation to make sure it looks like you want

Save as a gif and you're Done!
