Heightline - A Three piece Set Tutorial

To create this Set you will need:

A Tube and a Close-up

Penta - Jeans

Xero - Greyscaler

Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow

Ready?

Let's begin!

Choose two colors from your Tube

A medium dark one and a light one

New Image - 600x400

Fill with your medium dark color

Adjust - Add Noise - Uniform, 23, Mono Checked

New Layer

Fill with your light color

There is another version of this filter.

In order to get the same effect,

make sure that the little box named "Line" isn't pressed in

Magic Wand Tool

Mode add(shift) - Match mode RGB value - Tolerance 15 - Feather 0

Zoom in and click in one of the thin lines

This should select all of them, if not click around until you have

the entire light colored grid selected

Invert Selection - Delete - Deselect

Duplicate Layer - Hide the duplicate

On the original

VM Extravaganza - Heightline

Drop shadow - 3, 3, 100 and 10

Merge Visible

Un-hide the Duplicate

Duplicate this Layer twice for a total of Three Layers

Starting from the Original

VM Extravaganza - Heightline

Moving one Layer up apply the filter again changing the distortion to 56

On the Top Layer change the distortion to 60

Custom Selection

Click Delete on all three Grid Layers

Hide the Top Two for now

Highlight the BG Layer

Copy your Close-up and Paste as a New Layer

Move into Position

Invert Selection - Delete - Deselect

Xero - Porcelain - Default Settings

Xero - Grayscaler - Default Settings

Penta - Jeans - Amount 62 - Border Width 3

Highlight the Top Layer

Copy your Tube and move into position

Give it a Blurry Drop Shadow

I used Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow

With the Drop Shadow, Blurry preset

Now let's get what we need for the Forum Sized Tag and Avatar

Shift+D to copy your Tag TWICE

On the First Copy

Crop Tool Set to 600x240

Move the Crop Box to the top of your Tag

Hit the Check mark to Apply - Set this aside for now

On the Second Copy

Crop Tool Set to 150x150

Move the Crop Box to where you want it

Hit the Check mark to Apply - Set this aside for now

Back to your Tag

Highlight the Top Layer

New Layer - Fill with your Light Color

Select All - Contract 1 - Delete - Deselect

VM Extravaganza - Heightline - Last Settings you used

Drop shadow - 3, 3, 100 and 10

Add your Name, CR Info and License#

Animation

Fire up Animation Shop(AS)

In PSP - Copy Merged

In AS - Paste as a New Animation

Back in PSP - Hide the Bottom Grid Layer and Unhide the Middle one

In AS - Paste as After Current Frame

Back in PSP - Hide the Middle Grid Layer and Unhide the Top one

In AS - Paste as After Current Frame

Edit - Select All

Animation - Frame Properties - Change the Number to 50

View - Animation to check your work

Save as a gif and you're Done!

Forum Tag and Avatar

Do the Above Steps in Red
