Celebration - A 3-Piece Forum Set Tutorial

To create this Set you will need:

A Tube

I used Art by Jennifer Janesko

Tubes and License Available from CDO

MuRa's Meister - Copies

Ready?

Let's Begin!

Note: Your Background look will vary depending on the Tube you use

Copy your Tube and Paste as a New Image

Image - Resize - 600x600

All Layers Checked - Lock Ratio Unchecked

MuRa's Meister - Copies

Line Preset - Default Settings

Duplicate Layer - Image - Flip

Change the Blend Mode to Screen or a different one if you like it better

Merge Visible

Duplicate Layer

On the Original - Gaussian Blur - Radius 5

On the Duplicate - Pixelate - 16 - Symmetric Checked

Pull the Opacity Down to 50 or so

Merge Visible

Resize to 600x400

Custom Selection

Promote Selection to Layer - TWICE

Keep Selected

Make sure the Top Promoted Selection Layer is Highlighted

Contract Selection by 6

Delete - Deselect

Highlight the First Promoted Selection Layer

Select All - Float - Defloat

Paste your Tube and move inside the Selection

Invert Selection - Make sure you're on your Tube Layer

Delete - Deselect

Change the Blend Mode of the Tube Layer to Luminance(L)

Pull down the Opacity a little

Highlight the Top Promoted Selection Layer

Use your Magic Wand tool and click inside the Frame

Selections - Invert

Drop Shadow - 2, 2, 100 and 5

Repeat but use -2 for H and W

Deselect

Hide your BG Layer and Merge Visible

Highlight your Top Layer

Copy and Paste as a New Image

This is for your Avatar

Set this aside for now

Back to the Tag

On the Top Layer

Drop Shadow - 2, 2, 100 and 5

Repeat but use -2 for H and W

MuRa's Meister - Copies

Drop Shadow again if you want to

Add your Tube

Give it a Blurry Drop Shadow

Now let's get what we need for the Forum Tag

Shift+D to Copy your Tag

Set your Crop Tool to 600x250

Move to where you want it

Hit the Green Arrow to apply

Set this aside for now

New Layer

Fill with color of choice

Select All - Contract 2 - Delete - Deselect

Add your Name, CR Info and License#

Ok, it's time to make a Subtle Animation

Open Animation Shop (AS)

Copy your Bg Layer and Paste as a New Animation - TWICE

Set one Aside

Effects - Insert Image Transition

Use the Dissolve Effect - Default Settings

Delete the First Frame

Select All - Animation - Reverse Frames

Edit - Copy - Edit - Undo Reverse Frames

Scroll over to the Last Frame and click to Select it

Edit - Paste after Current Frame

Now you should have 10 Frames

On your Second Copy

Hold down your CTRL key and

Repeatedly hit the "L" key until you have 10 Frames

Go back to the First Animation you made

Select All - Copy

Then on your Second Animation

Select All - Paste INTO Selected Frame

Make sure it lines up then click to place

This is your Tag

Go Back to PSP

Hide the BG Layer

Edit - Copy Merged

Back in AS

Paste as a New Animation

Hold down your CTRL key and

Repeatedly hit the "L" key until you have 10 Frames

Select All - Copy

Then on your Tag

Select All - Paste INTO Selected Frame

Make sure it lines up then click to place

You can Zoom in to make it easier

Save as a GIF and you're Done

Finish and Animate the Forum Tag the same way

For the Avi

Resize to 150px on the longest side

Sharpen

Add your Credits and Initial

Save as a JPG
