Blended Garv - A Facebook Timeline Set Tutorial

This Tutorial will show you how I made this Facebook Timeline

With a matching Forum Set

You will need:

A Tube in 3 different sizes

Or 3 Tubes by the same Artist

I used Art by Keith Garvey

VM Extravaganza - Transmission and Vasarely

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

AAA Frames - Foto Frame

Ready?

Let's Begin!

Choose a Color from your Tubes for your FG

Choose White or a light Color for your BG

Make a FG/BG Gradient on the BG

Linear - Angle 45 - Repeats 1

New Image 852x315

Fill with your Color

New Layer

Fill with your Gradient

Effects - Distortion Effects - Pixelate

61 - 61 - Symmetric Checked

Effects - Texture Effects - Weave

1, 10, 1

Both Colors White or your Light Color

Change the Blend Mode to your Liking

I used Overlay, but you may need to use a different one you like better

Merge Visible

VM Extravaganza - Transmission

18, 0 and 40

Duplicate Layer

VM Extravaganza - Vasarely

128

255

Change the Blend Mode to Overlay

Or something you like better

Pull the Opacity down to 65 or so

Merge Visible

Copy your Largest Tube

Paste as a New Layer

Move Left

Change the Blend Mode to Luminance(L)

Opacity to 50 or so

Copy your Second Largest Tube

Paste as a New Layer

Move Right

Change the Blend Mode to Hard Light

Copy your Smallest Tube

Paste as a New Layer

Move Center-Right

Apply a Drop Shadow

20, 20, 75 and 100

Hide this Layer for now

Merge the Rest together

Now let's get what we need for the rest

Shift+D - Three times

Now you should have 4 Copies

On the First Copy

Resize to 600x222

This is your Forum Tag

Set aside for Now

On the Second Copy

Delete your Hidden Tube Layer

Set your Crop tool to 180x180

Move where you want it

Click the Green Arrow to Apply

This is your Facebook Profile Pic

Set aside for Now

On the Third Copy

Delete your Hidden Tube Layer

Set your Crop tool to 150x150

Move where you want it

Click the Green Arrow to Apply

This is your Forum Avi

Set aside for Now

Back to our Timeline

On your Merged Layer

AAA Frames - Foto Frame

Select All - Contract 10 - Invert

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

35 - Mix Checked

Again with Lighter Checked

Deselect

Unhide All Layers

Crop to Merged Opaque

Add your Name and Credits

Facebook doesn't want URLs on Timelines so just put

Artist's CR and your License#

For the Borders on the Copies

Do the Foto Frame as Before, but Make the Width 8

Then when you Contract the Selection make it 8 instead of 10

Finish the Avis and the Forum Tag the same way

Make sure you use Full Credit on your Forum Tag

That's it, we're done!
